The Birth Of SHE HEALS

They were women with integrity and class and their reputation remains the same till this very day. Last but not least, they were women who loved God and others with a love that I could not comprehend at the time. THAT’S what I came from! So naturally, when I became an adult, I automatically expected the world to look the same way it did when I was growing up. I expected to encounter the same kind of women however much to my surprise, it was the total opposite. All around me were women who criticized, judged and talked down on one another, lied, stole and cheated one another, women who were extremely competitive and selfish. I constantly encountered these women whom the world would later refer to as “angry black women or just “angry women” in general. This broke my heart to pieces and for a while I didn’t want to deal with any women because I felt they could not be trusted. I had already experienced several bad friendships, and I was completely done. In the midst of this, God began to place a burden within me for these women. So, my questions then became why IS this woman so angry and has anybody ever taken the time to ask and investigate why she is the way that she is? Did they even care? See, I refused to believe that this woman just woke up angry or that she was just born this way. I believed that buried beneath the past hurts, the disappointments and the trauma, was a woman who has simply forgotten who she is. This is a woman that needs to be reminded of who she is in Christ and that she is fiercely loved! Like looking through dirty lenses, pain has a way of causing you to look at life from a flawed perspective; something appears to be wrong with everything and everyone around you but you! I knew all too well, that THIS was a woman that needed to be healed emotionally, mentally, spiritually and sometimes even physically; thus, year by year, piece by piece, God began to birth. She Heals Outreach within me. Powered by the Holy Spirit, our mission is to create a community of hope and love: a SISTERHOOD of women who are striving daily to become the best version of themselves. A community of GIVERS; women who give of their time, wisdom, resources, finances or just a listening ear; Selfless women. The culture of this community is all about trust, being kind, courteous, helping and supporting one another and Christ- Centered. This community offers a non-competitive environment where women feel free, without judgment, accepted and supported! Last but not least, this is a community of women who are ready to take of the masks and be who God has preordained and predestined them to be. Women who are tired of just existing and are ready to start LIVING and walking in their God given destiny KNOWING that they matter, they have value, they have purpose, they are supported but most of all they are LOVED! There is a saying that I love and carry in my heart, and it says WHEN SLEEPING WOMEN AWAKE, MOUNTAINS MOVE. I believe that when we wake up to who we are truly called to be in Christ, when we realize the power that lies deep within us and that pain that we went through is not who we are but was a part of the plan to push us into our God given purpose, then we can profoundly change the world one woman at a time. With that being said, I am determined that everywhere I go, I will bring healing with my words, my thoughts, my deeds and my prayers. I will no longer be a part of the problem, but I will be the solution! I vow to be a GIRL WHO HEALS!
